A firm spicy favourite that packs a punch

A household staple in the chilli department, fantastic to grow and whilst the green peppers taste almost like a veggie, the red has a sweeter flavour and is often smoked or pickled.

This fast-growing, mildly spiced chilli (Scoville scale: 2,500–8,000) is ideal for growing in pots on an outdoor terrace or windowsill. Chillis measure approx. 4cm in length.

Likes sun or light shade and free-draining soil.

Care + Use

Tip: For longer and earlier harvests, sow chilli seeds indoors from late winter to mid-spring, as these plants typically require a lengthy growing season.
